Mad World is Audio Tour Hack’s latest multimedia exhibition created for Creative Week New York 2013. Commissioned by The One Club, Mad World puts a completely unique twist on some of the most award-winning television commercials of the past decade. After all, only the best ads stand the test of time. Even if that time happens to be 50,000 years in the future. Premise: And so it was, that the only traces left of civilization were 5 digital relics discovered in the ruins of an ancient human settlement called Old York. Little did the archaeologists of the future realize, they were actually just ads. Each commercial is interpreted as a serious documentation of what life was like for our ancient culture, much like how hieroglyphics are interpreted as depictions of Ancient Egyptian life. (Maybe they were just advertisements too.)

ONE SHOW is one of the most prestigious international award shows for advertising and creativity. Mad World was a multi-media exhibition Commissioned by ONE SHOW for New York's Creative Week. The exhibition celebrates ONE SHOW's long history of creative excellence by flipping the context of some of the most award-winning television commercials of the past decade. After all, only the best ads stand the test of time. Even if that time is 50,000 years in the future. Each commercial is interpreted as a serious documentation of what life was like for our ancient culture, much like how the hieroglyphics are interpreted as depictions of Ancient Egyptian life.
