Amazon Alexa Auto has taken to the streets, bringing drivers more control than ever. To get this news out there, Tool partnered with the Amazon Alexa Auto team to create a campaign that celebrates how Alexa technology can make any driver an everyday hero. As a little kid who grew up in the 80s, I watched a lot of Knight Rider. The idea of a talking car that had superpowers was pretty awesome. Fast forward to now and that 80s fantasy is a reality and itβs still very awesome. I wrote this spot to celebrate this idea and remind people about that future being realized. Directorially it was really rewarding to bring some of my favorite driving motifs to life from references such as Knight Rider, Drive and Baby Driver. This spot was shot following the tightest of COVID protocols and the entire cast and crew were kept safe throughout the entire process.
